DTC P0757 indicates that Shift Solenoid ‘B’ in the automatic transmission is mechanically stuck in the “ON” (closed) position, meaning it’s constantly allowing transmission fluid pressure to pass — which disrupts proper gear shifting.
1.️ Check Engine Light (CEL) ON
2. Harsh, delayed, or erratic gear shifts
3. Transmission stuck in gear (often limp mode)
4. Poor fuel economy
5. Clunking or jerking during shifts
6. Engine revs higher than usual before shifting
1. Faulty Shift Solenoid B Stuck due to mechanical failure or clogging
2. Contaminated or low transmission fluid Affects hydraulic pressure control
3. Internal valve body issue Valve or bore sticking, causing solenoid failure
4. Shorted wiring harness to solenoid Electrical failure causing constant “ON” signal
5. TCM/PCM malfunction Rare, but could misfire solenoid command
1. Check transmission fluid – top up or flush if dirty
2. Test wiring and connectors to Solenoid B (check for short to power)
3. Replace Shift Solenoid B
4. Inspect valve body for sticking valves or wear
5. Clear the code with a scan tool and test drive
