The Transmission Control Module (TCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected that Pressure Control Solenoid C is stuck in the ON position, not regulating hydraulic pressure as expected. This affects line pressure regulation inside the automatic transmission.
1. Harsh or delayed gear shifting
2. Transmission stuck in one gear (limp mode)
3. Slipping during acceleration
4. Overheating transmission
5. Check Engine Light (CEL) or Transmission warning light
1. Faulty pressure control solenoid C (sticking, shorted, or failed)
2. Dirty or contaminated transmission fluid (debris blocking solenoid operation)
3. Low transmission fluid level
4. Wiring issues (short, open, or corroded connectors to solenoid/TCM)
5. Faulty transmission pump or internal hydraulic leaks
6. In rare cases: Failed TCM/ECM
1. Check transmission fluid level & condition → Top-up or replace if dirty/burnt.
2. Inspect wiring & connectors to solenoid C for damage or corrosion.
3. Test solenoid C (resistance check, actuation test if possible).
4. Replace faulty solenoid if stuck or not responding.
5. If solenoid is fine → Inspect hydraulic circuits / pump for pressure leaks.
6. Update or reprogram TCM if required (depends on vehicle make).
7. In worst case → Transmission rebuild if internal damage is found.
