This code indicates that the hydraulic pump in the mechatronic unit has exceeded its play tolerance or detected abnormal behavior, such as:
– Delayed pressure buildup
– Excessive wear or internal leakage
– Potential failure of the hydraulic unit or pump motor
The “Play Protection” function is a safety mechanism that limits transmission operation to prevent mechanical damage.

Symptoms:

Gearbox warning light (PRNDS flashing)
Transmission goes into limp mode
Jerky or delayed gear shifts
Car not engaging gear or stuck in neutral
Grinding or unusual gearbox noise
