Your vehicle’s transmission control module (TCM) has detected that Shift Solenoid D is not functioning correctly — either it’s operating outside its expected performance range or it’s stuck in the OFF position.

Possible Causes

1. Faulty shift solenoid D (electrically or mechanically damaged)
2. Dirty or contaminated transmission fluid
3. Blocked hydraulic passages in the valve body
4. Wiring issues — damaged wires, loose connectors, or corrosion in the solenoid circuit
5. Faulty TCM (Transmission Control Module)
6. Internal mechanical failure in the transmission

Symptoms

1. Harsh or delayed shifting
2. Transmission stuck in one gear (often “limp mode”)
3. Reduced fuel efficiency
