– Stop-and-go traffic
– Slipping clutch conditions
– Heavy load or towing
– Faulty clutch actuation
1. Transmission warning light
2. Jerky gear shifting or hesitation
3. Car stuck in limp mode
4. Delay or refusal to engage gears
5. Clutch overheating warning on dashboard
1. Worn-out dual clutch pack
2. Failing or miscalibrated mechatronic unit
3. Low or degraded DSG transmission fluid
4. Faulty temperature sensor (inside mechatronic)
5. Faulty clutch control logic / need for adaptation
1. Let the transmission cool down completely
2. Scan with VCDS/ODIS or equivalent diagnostic tool
3. Check clutch temperature readings in real-time
4. Perform DSG Basic Settings / Clutch Adaptation
5. Replace DSG oil and filter if overdue or dirty
6. If overheating persists, inspect or replace the clutch pack or mechatronic unit
